And the Artists who made Brave New World happen ...
The Jeanna Salzer Trio...
"Salzer is blessed with a voice that belies her young age." She sings with an authority and authenticity that seems to have little place in the world of contemporary pop music. It's clear that she has been influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and James Taylor. Yet Salzer is not content to simply revisit the past. Decades and genres collide on the up-tempo track "Take it All," a song in which Salzer crafts a sound that combines her appreciation of the '70s singer-songwriter with the aesthetics of modern alternative rock (think Fiona Apple and Natalie Merchant)." -- excerpted from the Shepherd Express, where she won both Acoustic Musician and Vocalist-Female in the Best of Milwaukee. Jeanna, who hails from Milwaukee, WI and is a third-year student at Alverno College. Her first single, "Take it All", is getting great air time on 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. Jayne the Phoole ...
- Milwaukee is the only city in the U.S. with an official municipal Court Jester, and Jayne is that Phoole. Created and inhabited by Milwaukee actress, comedian, and personality Ann-Elizabeth Shapera, Jayne recently received second place in the International Jester Tournament at Muncaster Castle, England. Andy North and company use long-form improv to create riotous stories. A rabid fan says that on an off night, they're merely very funny. But when they hit, they're absolutely hilarious. Either way we win!
Brash, bold, and brazenly funny, Philip Earl Johnson - and his alter ego, MooNie the Magnif'Cent - have bowled over more than two million people with his antic shenanigans. When Philip isn't clowning around, he's a working actor, starring in numerous productions at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival - playing MacB*th, Benedict, Cyrano and Coriolanus, to name just a few. Philip's work on the stage has also been seen to acclaim in Chicago at The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Court, Writers and Chicago Shakespeare Theatres as well as at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC and on tour with Angels in America: Parts 1 and 2. Truly a Renaissance Man and a great time not to be missed. Website at www.philipearl.com
